For leading aged care organisation Infinite Care, Quality Indicator reporting was costing up to 60.5 working days a quarter across 11 homes – covering collection, entry, validation, quality checks and the upload to GPMS, absorbed almost entirely by two people and a stack of spreadsheets.
In the June 2026 quarter, Infinite Care joined our pilot with the Department of Health and completed 11 end-to-end QI submissions with our QI Program product, which automatically pre-filled each facility’s report in preparation to be reviewed, validated and submitted by their Quality team – all in less than a working day.
With Loop IQ, Infinite Care demonstrated the ability to:
- Demonstrate a 98.6% reduction in end-to-end QI reporting time
- Turn 60.5 working days of manual effort every quarter into 7 hours
- Pre-fill data for 12 of the 14 Quality Indicators in 28 minutes
Infinite Care has since rolled out QI Program to their remaining 7 homes.
"In my 25 years in aged care, I've never been as excited about a software as I am about this platform. Seeing the potential to reduce our QI reporting to just a few hours has been extraordinary – it frees our team to spend more time improving resident care."
Up to 60.5 working days every quarter
Infinite Care operates residential aged care homes across multiple states and spans across multiple provider entities.
The effort added up quickly: four to five days per home for data collection and submission, plus consolidated quality assurance, a final data check by the National Quality Manager and the upload to GPMS. Across 11 homes, that amounted to up to 60.5 working days each quarter.
Most of that work sat with two people – Maureen Kennedy, Head of Quality, Excellence & Governance, and Jennifer Melville, National Quality Manager – and depended on data being collated and moved by hand through spreadsheets.

Eleven QI reports pre-filled in half an hour
Loop IQ's QI Program connects to the core systems a provider already runs, such as clinical, workforce and medication management. At submission time, the platform’s structured workflows pull QI data from these systems automatically, validate it against QI Program requirements and assemble the submission on behalf of the provider.
For Infinite Care, submission pre-fill time averaged under three minutes for each home, with 12 of 14 Quality Indicators automated from the organisation’s clinical, workforce and medication management systems. Combined, submission pre-fills were complete in 28 minutes.
That moved the effort from collection to review. Infinite Care's quality team spent their time checking the figures, querying discrepancies surfaced by the platform’s inline validation system and approving final submissions. In another click, each submission was submitted directly to the Department via Loop IQ’s direct Business-to-Government API connection.

Data quality issues surfaced before lodgement
Not every indicator reconciled on the first pass – but this turned out to be a good thing. Where Allied Health, Workforce, Quality of Life and Consumer Experience data didn't match, the platform flagged them during the submission rather than after it.
In each case the cause was the same: values that were entered manually into spreadsheets upstream, weeks earlier. Those errors were identified, queried and corrected by Infinite Care’s quality team before lodgement, instead of being carried through into the final government submission.
Following submission, Loop IQ ran a mapping workshop with Infinite Care's quality team to trace each of the affected indicators back to its source system, so the same issues can be resolved at the point of entry rather than at submission time.
